From May 1, the number of trips on several public transport routes will be increased
From May 1, “Rīgas satiksme” will make changes to the number of trips on public transport routes to ensure optimal filling of the public transport passenger compartment. Besides, on several routes, changes in departure time related to changes in driving time, will be made in order to adjust it to the actual situation and to improve the coordination of departure time between the routes. The most significant changes with the increase of the number of trips on working days will be made on bus route No. 22, 51 and 52 and tram route No. 7, whereas, on days-off, on bus route No. 22 and 31 and tram route No. 7.
In general, changes in the traffic schedules from May 1 on days-off and from May 2 on working days will be made:
- Buses: bus routes No. , 4, 5, 8, 10, 11, 13, 14, 16, 18, 21, 22, 25, 30, 32, 36, 38, 39, 43, 44, 46, 48, 51, 52, 54, 56 and 59 on working days and bus routes No. 1, 4, 5, 6, 8, 10, 11, 13, 14, 15, 16, 18, 21, 22, 25, 31, 32, 36, 38, 39, 43, 44, 46, 48, 50, 54, 56 and 59 on days-off.
- Trolleybuses: trolleybus routes No. 3, 4, 5, 9, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 16, 17, 18, 19, 22, 23, 25, 27 on working days and trolleybus routes No. 3, 5, 9, 14, 17, 18, 22, 23, 25, 27 on days-off.
- Trams: tram routes No. 1, 2, 5, 7, 10 and 11 on working days and routes No. 1, 2, 5, 7, 10 on days-off.
Although at certain times, passenger flow on public transport routes appears to be high, the total number of passengers in buses, trolleybuses and trams is still significantly lower than in September 2021 and the planned number of trips is adjusted to the flow of passengers.
Employees of “Rīgas satiksme” started to replace the traffic schedules at the stops, however, due to the large volume, the placement of the new schedules may take a couple of days, therefore we invite passengers to check the traffic schedule on the company’s website before the planned trip: www.rigassatiksme.lv
